Local agent launches his own iPhone application

One real estate agent who likes to push the envelope with technology is @IanWatt in Canada. Ian has taken it to the next level now with his own iPhone application.

Google releases a Buzz which may be a BuzzKill for others

So what is all this Buzz about? Do we really need another social media outlet to connect ourselves with people? That is what people said when Facebook came out, we already had MySpace, so who needed Facebook? Then when Twitter came out, then when Foursquare came out… you get the picture. There are a few posts out there about what Buzz does, but I think this is the best one I read. The only downside of this over Foursquare is you need a Google account. Believe it or not there are some people out there who do not like Google. I know, strange.

Key Points

  • With his iPhone app Ian Watt is meeting a need in his market and matching it with how a growing portion of that group want to consume information. For you it may or may not be with an iPhone app, but there's definitely a need that's unmet you can fill. What is it?
  • What may really make Google Buzz a serious contender in the social space is the fact that it increases the relevance of user status updates. That alone makes it worth a look.
